Rose Holdaway is a visual artist with a home studio in Geraldton, Western Australia.
On the same latitude as Byron Bay on the east coast, Geraldton is a beautiful place to live and has a thriving art community. The Midwest also has lots of great beaches and is one of the worlds best windsurfing locations. Being on the west coast, the sun sets over the ocean which means a spectacular show nearly every night of the year.
A life-long artist, with a few 'other job' interruptions, Rose enjoys a variety of art mediums. In her studio practice she devotes most of her time to painting acrylic seascapes and landscapes. Her subject is usually the Midwest region and being a keen surfer and windsurfer she particularly enjoys painting the beaches that she knows and loves. She paints to exhibit and to commission. She also produces mixed media assemblages that represent a tongue-in-cheek insight to life, art and religion as she sees it.
Rose regularly runs projects as a community artist and facilitates groups to produce both individual and collaborative artworks, often large scale. As well she tutors fun expressionist painting classes for groups or individuals.
You can contact Rose for painting commissions, workshop details or if you have an interest in painting classes.
